Our physical activity plan for the course will consist of a variety of activities where we will implement the importance of daily exercise to strengthen bones and muscles. We will focus on the benefits of daily exercise and how much exercise that our children should receive daily. We will also cover in the course the concept of healthy eating.
Below is an outline that we will follow for the course
Unit 1
- Why we exercise
- What are the health risks of being sedentary
- Introduction of body movement activities using space.
Unit 2
- Recreational Games and Sports
- Healthy Eating
- Learning Good Sportsmanship
I would like to have the other students in the group to share their input on what you think how much exercise we need on a daily basis. What do we risk by living a sedentary lifestyle as far as health concerns.
Can you give examples of what healthy eating consist of and what we can do to modify our diet.
